The last few days of August

We have just been hanging around, we have a busy September up ahead!

Happy Birthday Grandma Fran

Today is Grandma Fran's birthday and it just so happens that Paul and Jaymz were upstate also. They left Monday morning and came back late tonight. They had to go up to build a deck in their backyard. Danika and I wished we could of come also but we did have fun visiting a few weeks ago. And we will be back very soon!

Our days without Daddy

Well like I said in my previous post the boys, Paul & Jaymz went upstate and left us girls behind, Danika, Abby and I. So I decided that today would be perfect to take both the dog and the baby for a walk for the first time. Now I know this should not sound like a big deal, but for those of you that have met my dog I am sure you will agree with me that she is an absolute NUT JOB! She is just so full of energy and her breed really does need that daily exercise. So I harnessed her up and off we went. She was good for me, she did pull a little at first but she knew I had to push the baby also. I was even able to take a picture of them together.

Birthday Party

Cousin Kira turned 7 on Saturday and Danika went to her first (of many more to come) birthday parties for her on Friday. She did great and through all of the partying and people was even able to sneak in two 30 minture power naps.
She has her party dress on and ready to go. Danika's two outfit colors of the day were pink and green. I love it!

A whole week

Wow, I can't believe a whole week went by and I didn't even post one picture! Her first week of being 4 months old and here are some pics.

Happy 4 month birthday

Danika! Your 4 months old today, what are you up to these days?
You have had a busy month, and lot of new experiences.
Your check up is in a few weeks, I can't wait to see how much you have grown. You are so good and seem to like posing for the camera. We have taken you out to eat at a few restaurants and brought you to many new places. Aunt Lori came from FL to visit you. You are very spoiled when comes to riding in the car. When daddy is driving I always sit in the back with you, because Abby is always in the front. I have taken you out by myself more and more and have planned it out after you ate and I just changed you, but sometimes you would still cry and I would have to pull over and calm you down. But you do always end up falling asleep after. Daddy has never driven alone with you yet, so we will see how he handles that situation! I have even had to change you in public bathrooms a few time and you did great, I was always nervous about having to do that. So then I would just end up walking around the store holding you. I try to do that more because someone always sparks up a conversation with us. You like to get out of your car seat anyway and experience everything.
You love to try imitate our funny faces we make at you and talk back. Daddy taught you some bad things like sticking your tongue out a little, and spitting/blowing bubbles. Its cute though and you really crack us up and every day is a new adventure with you.
When laying down, you "run" and kick your legs and wave your arms and you screech and shriek up at your mobile and the ceiling fan.
You are still a great sleeper through night, but you don't seem to like to nap for very long! You take about 20 minute naps and sometimes get very cranky before hand. You could take awhile untill you fall asleep because you don't want to miss out on all of the action during the day. It seems like right after your 3 month birthday you have started going to bed a little earlier, and sleeping a little later. You used to wake up crying and now you wake up a just lay in your crib and flash a huge smile when you see us. That change made me so happy, because your gummy grin is priceless. I call you bulimic baby, because you love to suck on your fists and then you spit up :) And you proved yourself right tonight. You actually threw up about three times in a row, it came out of your nose also. You cried for a few minutes after then was smiling and laughing like nothing ever happened. Oh we love you so much and you have really made our lives complete.

Today is Danika's birthday and we had a pool party for her! Well it was my mothers friends birthday also and her party, but I told Danika it was her party. She loved going in the pool. She has started playing more in her bathtub so I knew she would love the water. It was a very hot day and the water temp was perfect. The girls had a blast with her in the pool. I am glad she is so easy going and didn't mind everyone wanting to play with her. Happy Birthday Danika, we had a fun day!
