23 Months

Danika! Your 23 months old today, what are you up to these days? Well mommy had to go back to work and misses you alot. I ave not really been good with keeping up with all you have been learning, but know that I am not with you during the day, I wanted to remember some milestones to look back on. I can't believe how much you have grown and learned in just the last few months that I have been around you all day. You are still very social and say Hi to eveyone in the store when we are out shopping. I love just browsing and you pointing out every single item you see! Its so cute to hear you use all of your words. We walk past the lamps and you say lights and so on through out the whole store, clothes, toys (we try to avoid that section)but you are pretty good where if I give you a toy to play with your ok with putting it back and leaving and getting upset. Your basically a little parrot, repeating any new word you hear and learning it. For awhile now us adults have even started spelling some words around you in our conversations! I think it is the funniest that we are at that point of spelling words when we talk. Like chocolate and watch (for tv).
Just this past weekend I had two mommy firsts! Saturday was my first time taking you and Tia out for library storytime and Sunday you came with me and Tia to the doctor. It was also a big first weekend for Tia! Later on that day we went to Home's house and all 4 of us did a little shopping. I had you in a shopping cart and was calling out Home's name looking for her, I was shouting "Mom" and "Ma" and you would repeat it making the other people laugh. Oh and you already know that you have to hold everything in two's! Two crayons, two toys... oh speaking of crayons, you shout "color, color" whenever you spot them and to play with. You do still have a little problem of eating the crayons when we walk away from you and love to peel off the paper, I just hope you kick those habits by the time you go to school! I also love when you ask for everything to "open" and you must "hold". My favorite is when you ask for something, and I repeat it to you, "oh you want milk" and you reply back "OK" in the sweetest little voice, so excited.
Again all this is nothing new, its been going on for a long time, I am just going to try to update this better. I know your 3rd year will be coming up just as fast as your 1st & 2nd did. I only have one more month of saying 2 kids under 2!
