Soon headed for home

This is my all time favorite picture. I took it with my camera phone. I loved seeing this little face when I awoke every morning. I wonder what she was thinking? Just laying there like a little burrito in her plastic bin/cart/bed thingy on wheels! My little round head. It makes me cry because I just can't get over this face.

Another angle

The nurse gave Paul yet another tattoo (like he needs any more) of her feet! Again I can't believe the date stamp is all wrong. In April 2008 we were planning our wedding!

Check out the ''baby lo jack" that gets clamped to her umbilical cord stump. Its a great idea for security but what a pain to handle her with. I was afraid it was going to take her whole belly button off!

Doesn't she look just like a little doll?
Finally we are dressed in our own clothes! Next time I will remember that I can change into my own pj's and dress up my baby, so we don't have to wear the same ugly gown and baby tee shirt as every other patient in the hospital. But I did have the nurses use our receiving blankets so its easy to spot her in the nursery. Its a good idea and I heard other moms say they wish they did that to when visiting thier babys in the nursery. Wait did I just say NEXT TIME?!?!

Daddy buckling her in her seat for the first time.

I was so happy because I had to get wheeled out by a nurse and only I was allowed to hold Danika. Not Paul! So I took my baby and left, with Paul behind carring the bags.I just felt so proud, after everything we made it ok and can finally go home.

Her first car ride going home. I dreamed of sitting in the back seat with her for the first time. It was raining that day.
